Simplification in the Issuance of Certificates of Mexican Articles

On February 27, 2020, by official letter 414.2020.463, the Ministry of Economy through the General Directorate of Trade Facilitation and Foreign Trade (DGFCCE) , with the purpose of implementing strategies that allow Foreign Trade users to access the Certificate of Mexican Articles (CAM) in a timely manner and consolidate exports in a shorter time, resolved ; < / p>

First : As of March 2, 2020, the CAM will be broadcast digitally and will have the following characteristics:

  • Automatic resolution through the VUCEM, however, the user will receive the certificate via email (to the account enabled in the window) and will be able to consult it in their acknowledgment and resolutions tray, 3 minutes after entering the the request.
  • Field 8 of the certificate (Validation of the certificate of origin) will contain the country, place, date and name of the public servant, as well as the signature and stamp printed in the facsimile digital version.
  • A QR code will be printed on the last sheet of the certificate, which will allow the receiving country to verify the authenticity of the document and validate that it was issued by the SE.

Second: The scheme for issuing certificates with "autograph signature" will no longer be used so the only one that will be valid is the one provided in the previous resolutive.

Third: Interested parties are notified that the DGFCCE informed the CAM recipient countries of the characteristics of the new certificate, so that exporters Mexicans do not have setbacks in their Foreign Trade operations.

  • Email subject “CAM problem”.
  • VUCEM application number with 25 digits.
  • Certificate number.
  • Country of destination. (specifying entry customs)
  • Authority that rejects the certificate.
  • Reason for rejection. (attach documentation provided by the destination country)
