The two Cases of Application of the Complementary Global Petition (Pedimento)
Today we want to talk to you about a resource little used by companies dedicated to foreign trade, this is the Complementary Global Request.
Imagine that you detect in your definitive or temporary import operations or in your definitive exports of a fiscal year the need to carry out an "adjustment" in the customs value or commercial value, either due to omission of information, errors in the documentation or catch or royalties. Remember that if the customs or commercial value is modified in any way, as it affects the payment of contributions, so it will be necessary to recalculate them, then what are your options?
Well, for this situation, the customs regulations contemplate the COMPLEMENTARY GLOBAL PEDIMENTOS (GC key), which are those through which the following is allowed:
-
Adjust the customs value established in the definitive or temporary import petitions, and
-
Adjust the commercial value established in the definitive export declarations.
For you to carry out a GC Request, customs regulations require the following:
-
In the "discharge block" field, enter the petitions object of the adjustment and indicate the data of the documents that originate it.
-
Up-to-date contributions or benefits payable.
-
Pay the corresponding surcharges.
